Bikers Against Child Abuse

This blog post has nothing at all to do with our business our even our industry, we have decided to step outside the box this month to recognize the wonderful work done by a nationally recognized non-profit known as Bikers Against Child Abuse or B.A.C.A.   Founded in 1995 by a licensed play therapist, these bikers have formed to empower children to no longer be afraid of the world they live in.  Approximately 5 children die every day because of child abuse. 1 out of 3 girls and 1 out of 5 boys will be sexually abused before they reach age 18.  According to their website, they perform one mission, that’s empowering abused kids.

After almost 25 years this group of bikers is now an international organization that has touched the lives of countless children and families. They bring wounded and abused children into their biker family and provide them with emotional and physical support. Abused children within the court system can count on these men and woman to accompany them to court, often providing them with a safe and secure escort. They literally become the obstacle between the child and further abuse. If a child needs therapy B.A.C.A can assist the family financially to ensure necessary and critical therapies are received, all donations to this group go towards helping the kids, the organization has no paid members.

A recent clinical study (2017) conducted by Southwestern University indicated promising results that participating children experienced a decrease in emotional stress following B.A.C.A. intervention.  Donations are welcomed and can be sent directly to any chapter of your choice.  We cannot say enough good things about this group of folks and are happy to be featuring them this month, keep up the good work!!
