GENCO Marketplace’s Bob Auray Awarded
IWLA’s 2008 Distinguished Service and Leadership Award
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – March 20, 2008 – GENCO Supply Chain Solutions, North America’s second largest and a Global Top 50 third-party logistics provider, today announced that Bob Auray, president and chief executive office its wholly owned subsidiary, GENCO Marketplace, was awarded the 2008 Distinguished Service and Leadership Award by the International Warehouse Logistics Association (IWLA).
In 1996, the IWLA board of directors voted to create a logistics industry Distinguished Service and Leadership Award. The award, presented each year at the IWLA Annual Convention, recognizes outstanding leadership and service to the association and the warehouse-based logistics industry. Individuals are selected based on their contributions and service to the industry as well as their integrity and leadership.
Bob Auray served as IWLA chairman in 2005 – 2006. During his tenure, Auray led IWLA’s board of directors in developing a strategy to grow its membership and value. He headed up the search for new professional leadership to execute the strategy, and that leadership is currently in place, and IWLA is prospering.
