NBC News President Called “Most Powerful Person in Television News”

I stumbled across this interesting link to a list on the 10 most powerful people in television news. It is produced by TVWeek.com  and while based only on the opinion of its editorial staff it is still an interesting tool in understanding how TV news effects politics, business, and society at large.

Topping the list is MBC News president Steve Capus.  The most powerful person in television news is someone many people have never even heard of.  In fact the first actual appearance by a person regularly seen providing news and commentary is MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann at number 6. He is followed by his fellow prime time commentator and nemesis Fox News’ Bill O’ Reilly.
