For the LOVE of Facebook, really…

I have always been fascinated with human psychology; I find it so very interesting how millions of different people, people who have never even met can do certain things so alike.

Let’s take Facebook for example, yes Facebook again…I know.  It seems Facebook is creating such wonderful insight into the human brain each and every day.   Do you have any friends on Facebook that constantly proclaim how amazing their wife or husband is? Do they constantly use Facebook to tell their significant other that they love them, “Love you sweetie”, “My hubby is the bestest”, “I have the greatest wifey ever”.   I am sure these people mean what they say but are they saying these things on Facebook for another reason? Is it more than letting their partner know how they feel?  Most likely they could have simply sent that message in a private text, they chose however to blast it onto every wall of every Facebook friend they have, not just once but they do this several times a week.  Are these people looking for some sort of validation?  Are they trying to convince others or just themselves?  Do they need convincing that their relationships and lives are just peachy wonderful?  I think they do.  The more someone tries to do this the more obvious it becomes that things are just the opposite.

Contracts – an important part of doing business.

If you are in business than you have probably been burnt once or twice, unfortunately this is just a part of life.  No matter what you sell or what type of service you provide you will always find those that are unhappy, no matter how hard you try to please there are some that cannot be satisfied.  In situations like these it’s critical that your responsibilities to the client are spelled out and in writing.  This is not only for your protection but their protection as well.  Contracts are the basis for business and have been in use since ink touched paper, they provide not only peace of mind for the buyer but the legal protection of all parties involved.  If you are not using them you should think about starting, without some type of contract between parties you are left unprotected and defenseless against anothers whim, confusion or misunderstanding.  You will be left with a he said she said scenario and that’s not good when you are talking dollar and cents.

Diary of an EBay Non-Believer

Recently we received this interesting account from a first time seller to EBay.

As many of our users have experience with EBay we thought this may be of interest to you. Here it is. (We have not edited this)

Diary of an EBay Non-Believer

“I have a car for sale, I will sell it on EBay I thought. I logged onto my EBay account of which up until now had been used for only for 10 total purchases. These purchases were spread out over the last ten years. I have 100% positive feedback from the sellers I have purchased from. This would be my very first time attempting to sell an item, well in this case a car. I followed the listing process quite easily and placed the vehicle into an auction as well as a classified ad. I decided to buy several of the upgraded features as well to enhance my listing. I went with the bolded text and colored background. My item was featured so buyers would see it first. Prior to placing the ads I researched the vehicles value; I based this on several factors including similar make/models for sale on EBay as well as the blue book value. My asking price was reasonable…or so I thought.

China pitfalls

Did you know that the recession is over? Apparently it ended back in June of 2009.  According to The National Bureau of Economic Research the longest and deepest down turn for the American economy has finally subsided. Well that really is a relief however it does not erase the damage that has been done. The cold hard reality is that many business owners are still struggling to stay afloat, many cutting corners that they never dreamed of cutting before.

These pyramids are impossible to climb

Clomid
Actos

It’s called a Pyramid for a reason. Ask 10 different people to describe a pyramid, most will offer up a description of a structure in the shape of a triangle converging at a point. I have yet to see one of these amazing structures up close and personal but it’s on my list of to-do’s. Just recently I was reminded that a very different kind of pyramid also exists.

Nobody wants to do it twice; actually nobody wants to do it even once.

GetThatWholesale.com and its growing network of wholesale dedicated sites attract the attention of millions of users. Many of these users are looking to grow their businesses and appreciate the tools and opportunities we offer. Some unfortunately view our success as a way to cut corners and get ahead. Trademark infringement is a common term known to many business owners, but how many actually understand its impact and methods of defense?

Are You in the KEYWORD Driver Seat?

If you’re like most business owners you take great care in selecting your keywords. After all, these keywords are valuable doorways for buyers to find their way straight to your products. In a perfect world, you are at the wheel deciding which keywords are most profitable for your business.

Over the last year an unfortunate trend has surfaced, we will call this “keyword stacking”. Basically it works like this. You decide to create a ppc account and start selecting your keywords. You choose search terms like “wholesale t-shirts”, “baseball hats ” and “leather jackets”; you’re choosing specific product lines that your company offers. Ok, so far so good. Now you place a deposit in your account and wait for the clicks to come rolling in. Here’s where the keyword stacking takes place, the ppc website that you’re using goes in and adds an extremely general keyword, like “products”.  Instead of presenting to just your targeted market your company is now presented to buyers who may have no interest whatsoever in what you offer, basically worthless and non-productive clicks. Every one of those clicks cost your company valuable funds, those funds should have been directed at a much more qualified buyer, a buyer interested in your types of products. So how can you prevent this from happening to you? Many advertisers have steered clear of ppc altogether, others work with only trusted websites.  Closely monitoring your advertising is critical to measuring success or failure. Some ppc sites provide clients with their own specialized tools for monitoring. If you ask me though, that’s a little like having the fox watch the hen house. There are also many different solutions online that will provide you with specialized tracking information, some are even free!

Now before all the ppc websites gather up their pitch forks and torches allow me to clarify. Not all ppc websites are bad, many have only their client’s best interest at heart. Advertisers should use good common sense, check in on your keywords often. Frequent monitoring will not only allow you to make sure your keywords are accurate but it’s a great opportunity to update according to market trends and any new product lines you may be offering. This way you will be driving not only your keywords but real qualified buyers as well!

Some Pros & Cons About Paypal

If you are buying or selling anything on the web you are aware of the advantages Paypal and companies like it offer. A reasonably priced and simple alternative to merchant accounts. Paypal has become nearly irreplaceable to online charities and businesses alike. In fact, payment processors like Paypal are often the only choice for new businesses since merchant accounts require extensive security information and prohibitively high initial fees.
